  1. What about when the spouse dies? Mom still knows Dad and he visits a couple times a week and they talk on the phone daily. What do we do then?

    1. Pretty much the same thing! Definitely don’t tell her he passed if he passes before she does and say he’ll call soon. If she doesn’t understand the passage of time (she probably doesn’t) then this will work.
