My mom has vascular dementia and her personality has changed. She won’t do anything (even simple chores like putting dishes in the dishwasher). Likes being waited on, reverse of how she always was. Recently she’s been complaining about dinner, she doesn’t like what we have, “Yuk!” grimaces. I try to ignore it but it’s wearing thin. I know it’s not her but I’m sometimes tired and worried when she won’t eat enough. She also won’t shower and often calls my dad a jerk. It’s not very pleasant!!

I wonder if there is something else going on, like a frontal lobe impairment. Is there a chance she’s on any medications that could be making her mood and instability worse?
