My uncle lives in a care facility. He has Alzheimer’s and he does not speak. He sleeps often and makes little to no eye contact. I don’t want him to feel lonely or abandoned. It’s very hard to discern his moods or thoughts, almost as if he is in a waking coma. Any suggestions for how to best care for him?

Music and touch still work! Can someone tell you what his favorite music is? If not, try playing a few songs on your phone and see what makes him light up. Holding his hand is also a great way to get a response. I’d also consider an Ageless Innovation pet: https://joyforall.com
