My father is 90, has Alzheimer’s and is in a care facility. My step mom, sister and I died hours with him daily..0800-2000…one of us is there. Now he is starting to show anxiety when we say we are leaving at night. He is unsure, almost sad. He knows us, can converse, feeds himself. Does not walk. Wheel chair or bed. Do you think we should leave earlier in the evening?

Hi Sue (I saw your next message with your name) thanks for writing in! Absolutely, visit earlier in the day, and leave earlier in the day. He’s experiencing some sundowning and this could be alleviated by seeing him earlier, if possible. See if that works! That should be an easy fix.
