We are in the process of trying to get my mother to move to the St. Louis area with me. I live in Manchester, MO, a suburb of St. Louis. I love the way you work with the members of your community and your philosophy of care. Are you familiar with any facilities in our area who folllow the same philosophy?

Thank you! https://www.caring.com/local/assisted-living-facilities-in-ballwin-missouri/brookdale-west-county – I found this Brookdale community near you, at least, I think it’s near you. I started my career with Brookdale and they have a solid dementia care program. They also have over 2,000 buildings (including assisted living and independent living) so the level of care and everything varies from place to place. I’ve been in less desirable Brookdales, and more desirable ones (the one I worked in was great) but overall their structure for dementia care is pretty good! Best of luck. You can also call me with questions.

I wrote this poem years ago, but to date, it’s the most popular piece I’ve ever created.
