Hi Caryn, usually I like AARP but this ad does sound awful! Can you send me a link to it? Maybe we can find it online and write in to tell them how it makes people with dementia sound like children.
Hi Rachael,this article confirmed it. there is this add constantly on the radio by AARP, I felt it to be demeaning to people with dementia the first time I heard it. It has a little girl voice saying "when will we get there" & them after repeated many times it's an older woman saying "when will we get there."
