Yesterday was "Living Hell"! My wife kept on asking about her mother every minute. I tried every explanation just short of telling her that she is no more! Around 7pm, she was tired & wanted to go to bed. I told her that was fine, but she felt scared & wanted me in bed. I kindly but firmly protested, but nothing worked! Ultimately, I went to bed. But, she kept on getting up saying she wanted to go out. I had firmly told her that she cannot go by herself. Twice, I drove her to "Nowhere" .

If this is unusual behavior for her, which it sounds like it is, you should take her to a doctor today if you can. She might have a Urinary Tract Infection. They can really, really disrupt someone’s behavior!

Otherwise, you’re doing the right thing. It can be hard to be patient and I applaud you for not giving in and telling her that her mother is dead.
