My mother Sallie had Alzheimer’s for at least 13 years—11 of the years she was in assisted living & skilled nursing.  As her caregiver, I learned a great deal and want to share our experiences with others.

“My Roller Coaster Ride with Sallie: An Alzheimer’s Story” by me, Judy J. Harritan, provides information on some early signs, facilities and things I think helped ensure good care, interactions with Sallie (some funny, some thought-provoking, but good times), my pros & cons of Alzheimer’s, and my thoughts and tips on coping.

I hope “My Roller Coaster Ride with Sallie: An Alzheimer’s Story” will help others on their ride with Alzheimer’s.  This book is available from AuthorHouse, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and any book store by individual order.

I wrote this poem years ago, but to date, it’s the most popular piece I’ve ever created.
